Brendan McGrath was a dedicated community advocate who served on CAP’s Board of Directors for 21 years, 19 as Board Chair. Under his leadership, the Agency expanded key programs like Head Start, early Head Start, Weatherization and Homeless Services and extended its reach into Seneca County.Â
After his unexpected passing in March 2010, Brendan’s family requested memorial donation to CAP in his honor. These contributions supported urgent needs for the Agency and its clients. In 2011, his wife Mary and his children established the Brendan McGrath memorial Fund to continue his legacy of service. In 2014, the Brendan McGrath Memorial Scholarship was created through the fund to further CAP’s mission of helping individuals achieve and sustain self-sufficiency.Â
